The Weltron 2001 was designed in the late 60s by James Pratt Winston of Oxford, NC, and sold worldwide starting in the early 70s. Price was 150.00, adjusted for 2024 money 1100.00. Brian is good friends with Pratt and has restored a number of Weltrons for Pratt and his family.

This Weltron operates off AC power, DC power, and 8 D batteries (not included). Restoration includes belt replacement, new LED lighting, antenna replacement, complete mechanical and electronic clean and lube, cleaning and buffing of plastic case and face plate.
